New Delhi, India: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has weighed in on the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan in Maharashtra, sparking a broader conversation about illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. Addressing the issue, Abdullah remarked, “Maharashtra is the financial capital, and everyone gravitates there. If someone comes and attacks Saif, I am against the attack and wish him well. But we cannot hold an entire nation responsible for the actions of one individual.”
Drawing a parallel, Abdullah highlighted the situation of illegal Indian immigrants abroad, particularly in the United States.
“Just as with Canada, it’s about an individual, not an entire nation. How many illegal Indians are there in the USA? Trump provided figures. People go wherever they can find food,” he added.
